Websites, apps and B2C products

Brand websites, an admin you can update yourself, online enquiries and mobile apps that customers understand and your team can manage.

A website is more than a company profile. For many small businesses it is where customers first meet you, and the way in for enquiries, orders and after-sales support.

We built the website and admin for CSM Smart Lock, a smart lock store, an online configurator and enquiry page for industrial computers, and our own meeting notes app and subscription service. What they share: we first work out what a customer needs to get done, then decide how the pages are arranged. After launch your team keeps the content up to date, without calling an engineer for every word.

Common needs

  1. A brand website with an admin you can edit

Products, photos, specifications and copy are all editable. New content is saved as a draft and published once checked, so nothing half-finished goes live.

  2. Enquiries routed to LINE or a form

Every page shows the next step. The CSM Smart Lock site asks customers to send a photo of their door on LINE and quotes after seeing it; the industrial computer configurator sends an enquiry as soon as the options are chosen.

  3. Online configurators for complex products

Products with many options become a step-by-step choice, one question at a time, with the full configuration visible at the end.

  4. Mobile apps and subscription services

From product design, accounts and payments to running the service after launch, with pricing people understand at a glance.

  5. Search visibility and page speed

URL structure, page titles, structured data and image optimisation are handled together, and redesigns map old URLs to new ones so existing rankings carry over.

  6. Selling software and managing licences

Selling your own software needs an admin for issuing licence keys, renewal reminders and moving a licence to a new computer.

How we work

  1. Define what the customer needs to do

Ask for a quote, place an order, book, or check progress? We decide the next step on every page before designing the layout and content.

  2. Your team manages the content

The admin uses fields and steps the marketing team understands. New content starts as a draft and is only published after review.

  3. Keep the website apart from operations

The website admin only manages the website. Your day-to-day operating systems sit elsewhere and are not connected, so if the website has a problem the business carries on.

  4. Mature technology people can maintain

We avoid frameworks that are fashionable for a season, and use well-documented tools that plenty of developers know, so the site is still maintainable years from now.

  5. Keep improving after launch

We watch search indexing, page speed and where enquiries come from, and keep refining the pages and content.

When it fits

  • Your website is years out of date because every change means emailing a vendor
  • Your products have so many specifications that customers give up before asking
  • You want to launch your own app or subscription service without an in-house tech team
  • You want to sell software you built to other businesses

Common scenarios for this service. These are examples, not completed client projects.

  • customers pick a slot, double-booking goes away

At many salons, bookings are handled one LINE message at a time while the stylists' rota lives on a whiteboard, and the same slot occasionally gets promised twice. A booking page lets customers choose a time and a stylist from the open slots only, and the shop sees the whole day at a glance.

  • from paper stamp cards to LINE membership

Paper stamp cards get lost, and the shop never really knows who its regulars are. With a QR code scanned at checkout, points build up in the customer's LINE membership where they can check them anytime, and the shop can see who comes back and send its regulars an offer on special days.

  • background removal and draft copy with AI

Each new product means retouching photos, removing backgrounds and writing a title and description, so only a handful get listed per day. A listing assistant can cut out and resize the photos, draft the name and description from the specs, and save everything as a draft for someone to review.

  • straight from the form to LINE

Enquiries from the website sit unnoticed in an inbox, and customers who hear nothing back ask someone else. The form can notify the right salesperson on LINE the moment it's sent and turn the request into an enquiry record, so everyone can see who picked it up and where it stands.

  • filled in on the phone, not on paper

New patients fill in a paper questionnaire at the front desk and an assistant types it up, which lengthens the wait and invites copying errors. After checking in, the patient receives a link and completes the form on their phone in the waiting room; it goes straight into the system for review before the consultation.

  • students check in, parents know

Around class time, the most common call to a tutoring centre is "has my child arrived?". Students tap a card or scan a QR code on the way in and out, parents get a LINE message automatically, and anyone expected but not checked in appears on a list at the front desk.

Questions

Can we update the website ourselves once it is built?

Yes. We design the admin around what you actually need to update, such as products, photos, news and promotions, and show your team how to use it.

Will a redesign hurt our current search rankings?

We list the old URLs and set up redirects, and check page titles and the sitemap, so the rankings you have built up carry over.

Does it have to be an app?

Not necessarily. Many needs work well in a phone's browser without an app store listing. We only suggest an app when you need things like notifications, the camera or offline use.

How is the cost worked out?

It depends on what you need. Once we understand the goal of the site and the pages and features involved, we will give you a quote.

Would you like to talk through your situation?

No specification needed. Tell us which part of your work takes the most time, and we will look at the right approach together.
